Cesar Madrigal’s musical journey began in the vibrant city of Medellin, Colombia, surrounded by a rich culture of talented and inspiring musicians. At 15, during his final year of high school, Cesar picked up the guitar, but it wasn’t until he attended a live concert by a local band that his true passion for the instrument ignited.

For Cesar, the guitar is more than just an instrument—it’s a powerful medium for musical expression. This philosophy led him to explore a diverse range of genres, from rock and progressive metal to jazz, which became a major influence during his time at music school. His curiosity for improvisation and his drive to be versatile shaped a distinctive style that combines technical mastery with heartfelt artistry.
Moving to Canada was a transformative step for Cesar. While attending Capilano University, he honed his craft under the guidance of some of the country’s most respected and talented musicians. This experience enriched his playing, adding new layers to his already dynamic sound.
Now as a member of The LowDown, Cesar infuses his unique South American flavor into the classic songs we all love.
